Gotcha Day!!!

Eleven months ago today we sent in our application to Great Wall China Adoption to begin our adoption journey.

I don't think I need to talk much about today...hopefully these pictures will speak of God's amazing love and glory on their own...

The Civil Affairs office changes their rug daily in the elevator...here we come Meisi!!

Meisi was waiting for us!!!  Totally did not expect that!!  She gave us a big smile when she first saw us today :)

Daddy's girl already...can't you tell??  He is wrapped too my friends..totally wrapped. :)

Can you see her smile??  Ahhhh..melts my heart. :)

She loves cheerios...Aili loves feeding her little sister. :)

She had all the folks at the Civil Affairs Office smiling.  They had to bribe her to get the cup out of her mouth..she was very thirsty (we just brought water because we weren't sure what she was drinking).  She did give them a big smile for the photo though.

:)  We Gotcha!!!  :)
She and Ian laughed and laughed...she has the sweetest little laugh... God is so so good!!!

She LOVES the bath and the stacking cups from IKEA are AWESOME - they have little holes for the water to drain. :)

Hehe...isn't she just adorable...Aili wore this dress when she was 2 years old with similar little boots. :)

Hair bow didn't last long..but too cute to not share. :)

She was wiped out and fell asleep quickly in my arms!!  Such a sweet, brave little girl...it has been a long day for her. :)

This has been such an amazing day!  Thank you for your prayers!!!  Please continue to pray for us that each day she continues to be her happy, sweet self.  She is definitely a daddy's girl and cries when he leaves the room and if I try to take her away from him. She will let me hold her and calls for me with the sweetest "Mama" but still prefers Brian.  Please pray that she has ease with both of us as eventually Brian will have to go to work!!  She is a dream and we are so in love with her.  Please do pray for Aili and Ian as we learn how to parent three!!  They did fantastic today but of course want to be the one who does everything for her. :)

I don't think anything I could say could add to this amazing day....  God is good and faithful.  We prayed for her and He has given her to us.  We are so blessed He called us onto this journey and chose us to be Meisi's family.  :)  Thank you for your continued prayers and support!!  Tomorrow is her 2nd birthday and the day we sign papers to adopt her here in Anhui. :)  Again...our God is an Awesome God!!!

  3. Happy, happy day! God is most wonderful & He puts the lonely in families. Meisi is already blessing your family just like He knew she would when he placed on your hearts the call to adoption. Congratulations! It seems so surreal that the little girl in the referral pictures is now here in your family forever. :)

  4. It's so awesome to see the smiles on everyone's faces. Ian's expressions are cracking me up. He is too precious and looks so happy with his new sister. Aili already looks like she's doing a great job at being Meisi's big sis. I'm so happy to see she is with you now, FOREVER. I was just thinking about the day you walked over to me in the fellowship hall asking about adoption. I think that was one of the first times we really talked. And now, look at you with your precious miracle. I'm loving reliving our adoptions from 6 months ago. You were in the exact same room as we were when we met the girls. I'm so happy that your Gotcha moment was so special and precious. Praying for you as you all continue to bond and get to know each other. Love you guys!
